"Have a go at Volunteering"
British Waterways are working in partnership with North Staffs Volunteer Centre and BTCV to organise a Volunteer Taster Day on Thursday 19th August from 10am until 2.30pm on the Caldon Canal at Stockton Brook Locks.
This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who likes working outdoors and meeting people. The work will include clearing vegetation by the locks and on the towpath, painting of rails and lock beams (weather permitting) and litter picking.
The only requirement is that you are 16 years or older and you are advised to wear sturdy footwear and clothing suitable for the outdoors. All equipment and lunch will be provided.
