Bank protection work in Hanley Park area

We have been advised by British Waterways of works on the Caldon Canal at Cauldon Road Bridge 6, Hanley Park.

Update (10 May 2012):

Due to issues on site the work has been delayed and will not be completed until 20th July 2012

Part of the fallen tree has now been removed, allowing passage with caution. The towpath is now open.

Staffordshire's Steam Narrow Boat en route to London for the Diamond Jubilee

The public are invited to see history created as a 100 year old narrow boat begins its highly anticipated journey from Staffordshire to take part in the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant.

“Wild About Cheddleton” is a series of practical conservation activities for the local community, run by Staffs Wildlife Trust. Activities take place on the green space between Cheddleton Park Avenue and the Caldon Canal. Why not come along and join in?
