- Description:
- Celebrating the Canals of Stoke-on-Trent
At Etruria Industrial Museum
FREE event - a fantastic day out for all the family to celebrate the centenary of Stoke on Trent and the city’s great canal heritage.
This year’s event promises an excellent collection of historic narrow boats, fantastic new entertainment ranging from giants galore (some arriving by boat) to superb new waterways models, along with IWA’s special Tom Rolt centenary celebrations. The museum’s 1820s beam engine will be “in steam”, powering the historic machinery to crush bone and flint for the pottery industry at Jesse Shirley’s’ Bone and Flint Mill.
Plus a great programme of FREE children’s Wild Over Waterways (WOW) activities, a waterways trail, music, traditional crafts, steam engines, vintage vehicles and much more!
