Bank protection work in Hanley Park area

We have been advised by British Waterways of works on the Caldon Canal at Cauldon Road Bridge 6, Hanley Park.

Update (10 May 2012):

Due to issues on site the work has been delayed and will not be completed until 20th July 2012

Part of the fallen tree has now been removed, allowing passage with caution. The towpath is now open.

Churnet Valley Masterplan consultation and meetings

Staffordshire Moorlands District Council are planning to hold a series of meetings relating to the Churnet Valley Masterplan. We encourage anyone with an interest to attend one of the drop-in sessions and/or to respond to the consultation documents which are to be published on the SMDC website on 16th January 2012.

Towpath and canal closures in Hanley area

We have been advised by British Waterways of various restrictions on the Caldon Canal in Hanley between Monday 9 January and Friday 17 February 2012. The works have been planned to coincide with the previously notified navigation closure for delivering the Ivyhouse Embankment works between these dates.
