The Trust will be exhibiting at the Etruria Canals Festival on the first weekend in June. Please come and visit us and find out more about the projects we have been working on, and about how you can become involved.
This free festival will bring the canals of Stoke-on-Trent alive with a historic boat parade along the Trent and Mersey canal from Etruria towards Burslem. Music and dance will complement colourful historic canal boats moored along the towpaths of Etruria. Lots of activities for children and adults will be on site and a good time is guaranteed for all.

Come and join in our monthly work party, carrying out useful tasks on the Caldon Canal. This work party will commence work painting the mileposts between Etruria and Hazelhurst Junction. Volunteers are advised to wear old clothes, stout shoes and to bring waterproofs and a packed lunch.
Works to make a popular stretch of canal towpath more accessible and user-friendly for the local community have now started.
The works being carried out by the Canal & River Trust, the charity responsible for the nation’s waterways, will see the Caldon Canal towpath around Cheddleton resurfaced providing walkers, cyclists and disabled visitors with a clean, green traffic-free route.
